ICC vows ‘positive’ solution to address Champions Trophy stalemate

The International Cricket Council (ICC) vowed on Friday to find the “positive” solution for addressing the Champions Trophy stalemate.

According to details, the ICC spokesperson said, “A brief board meeting of the ICC was held today. All the parties are continuing to work to find the positive solution for the Champions Trophy.”

“It has been hoped that the ICC board will convene the meeting again within a few days,” the ICC spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was not ready to accept the hybrid model at all for the upcoming Champions Trophy, originally slated to happen in Pakistan, next year in February.

According to details surfaced on Friday, the PCB had briefed the meeting in line with its opinion. The PCB had shown no flexibility on its narrative in connection with the hybrid model for the mega-event.

All the board members came up with a few proposals during today’s meeting to address the Champions Trophy stalemate.
