Renowned Pakistani VJ, host, and actress Anoushey Ashraf recently opened up about her evolving perspective on prayer and modesty during a candid podcast discussion.
Reflecting on her childhood, Anoushey shared, “My mother and aunt were very strict about prayer. They would even say we wouldn’t get food if we didn’t pray, but despite their pressure, we often avoided it.”
Over the years, after extensive travels and life experiences, Anoushey said she has come to truly understand the significance of prayer. “Now, I pray regularly from the heart, without any external pressure,” she revealed.
Anoushey also shared that she recently had the privilege of performing Umrah, a deeply spiritual milestone in her journey.
Highlighting the importance of personal choice, she emphasized, “No one should be forced into prayer or wearing specific attire. It is something one understands only when guided by Allah. We must respect others’ choices and paths.”
