Islamabad: The first meeting of the government and PTI’s negotiating committees will be hosted by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

According to sources, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq will soon contact Senator Ishaq Dar and Barrister Gohar regarding the negotiations.

The first meeting of the negotiating committees is expected to take place within the next 24 hours, with the initial session likely to be held in the Speaker’s Lounge of the Parliament House.

In the first meeting hosted by Ayaz Sadiq, the committees will set the Terms of Reference (TORs). PTI has raised two demands for negotiations without setting any preconditions.

The first meeting will also decide the location and strategy for future discussions.

It is worth mentioning that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, upon the suggestion of the Speaker of the National Assembly, formed a negotiating committee consisting of members from the government coalition.
