PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi has slammed PTI’s letter to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), calling it another attempt to harm Pakistan’s economy. In a statement, Abbasi said that no political party lobbies against its own country in global financial institutions, labeling PTI’s move as a direct attack on Pakistan’s economic sovereignty.
He further stated that PTI’s actions reflect its persistent anti-state stance, accusing the party of exploiting national crises for political gain. He urged the nation to recognize PTI’s recurring disruptive tactics, stating that whenever Pakistan moves toward economic progress, PTI emerges as a destabilizing force.
Meanwhile, PTI leader and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Omar Ayub, confirmed that the party has sent a dossier and a letter to the IMF mission in Islamabad.
Ayub also stated that the dossier has been forwarded to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, containing evidence related to alleged rigging in the general elections.
