Islamabad – The federal government has officially designated Gwadar Airport as an international airport, opening it to international passenger travel and cargo operations.
With this declaration, Gwadar International Airport will now facilitate outbound travel for passengers and welcome international arrivals. Additionally, it will enable the transport of goods to and from international destinations.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) issued two notifications to formalize the decision. Under Section 9 of the relevant regulations, the first notification officially designates Gwadar Airport as an international facility.
This development is a significant step in enhancing Gwadar’s connectivity and its role as a hub for international trade and travel.
