Peshawar : Adviser to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Information, Barrister Dr. Saif, has demanded accountability for the use of force against peaceful workers, asserting that the government must explain why bullets were fired.
In a strongly worded statement, Barrister Saif vowed to seek justice for the martyrs, saying, “We will hold the illegitimate government accountable for every drop of blood shed. The sacrifices of innocent workers will not go in vain.”
He accused the Sharif family of a history of suppressing dissent with violence, citing the Model Town tragedy where pregnant women were reportedly shot at directly. “In every era, innocent citizens have paid the price for extending their regime’s rule,” Saif remarked.
The adviser expressed hope that the sacrifices of unarmed workers would pave the way for the restoration of constitutional and legal order in the country.
