The shooting took place as the vehicle was traveling through a remote stretch of road in Lower Kurram. Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers ambushed the car and fired multiple rounds before fleeing the scene. The identities of the assailants remain unknown, and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
Following the deadly assault, law enforcement personnel quickly reached the location and secured the area. Police confirmed that the victims’ bodies were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Kurram, where authorities are working to identify the deceased and notify their families. Hospital sources stated that all five victims sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
