First Winter Rain in Karachi Increases Cold Intensity

Karachi (News Desk): The first winter rain in various areas of Karachi has led to a noticeable drop in temperature, intensifying the cold weather. Light rain and drizzle were reported in different parts of the city late at night.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the new cold wave that began today is expected to last for a week. Areas like Gulshan-e-Maymar, Baldia Town, Orangi Town, North Nazimabad, and others witnessed light rain and drizzle, while the outskirts of Karachi, such as Hub Chowki, also received light rain.

Drizzle was reported late night in areas including Guru Mandir, Nabiya Chowrangi, M.A. Jinnah Road, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Carsaz Road, Dalmia, Shanti Nagar, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, and Scheme 33.

The Meteorological Department has forecast more light rain and drizzle in Karachi’s different areas from Friday night to Saturday morning.
