According to a spokesperson for the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), a raid was conducted by the FIA Immigration team at Jinnah International Airport, where an Afghan woman attempting to travel to the United States was arrested.

The woman, identified as Sana Khawaja, had obtained a Pakistani visa through forgery. She had entered Pakistan on November 13 via the Chaman border under the pretense of seeking medical treatment but failed to provide any evidence supporting her claims of treatment.

Initial investigations revealed that the woman had come to Pakistan to apply for a U.S. visa under the guise of medical treatment. It was discovered that her cousin had advised her to apply for a medical visa to enter Pakistan.

After arriving in Pakistan, Sana Khawaja obtained a U.S. visa from the American embassy, using fake documents to apply for a Pakistani visa.

The spokesperson stated that the arrested individual, Sana Khawaja, has been transferred to the Anti-Human Smuggling Circle in Karachi for further legal action. Investigations into the case are ongoing.
