Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Ata Tarar, has dismissed former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s call for civil disobedience, emphasizing that Khan will not receive an NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance) regardless of his actions.

In a statement on social media platform X, Tarar criticized Imran Khan’s continued “childish and irresponsible” demands for civil disobedience, claiming that after failing in his violent political tactics, Khan is now resorting to a “hostile strategy” against the country.

Tarar’s comments come after Imran Khan once again threatened to launch a civil disobedience movement if his two key demands—judicial investigations into the May 9 and November 26 incidents and the immediate release of innocent party workers—are not met by the government by Sunday.

Following a meeting with her brother, Imran Khan, at Adiala Jail, his sister Aleema Khan confirmed that Khan reiterated these demands for judicial inquiries and the release of the party’s workers.
