ISLAMABAD( The COW News Digital) Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman issued a strong warning to the government, declaring that his party will not recognize the current administration and urged authorities not to force them into seizing Islamabad. Addressing the Shua’ara-e-Islam conference in Battagram, Fazl-ur-Rehman said that if compelled, they could occupy the federal capital within a week but prefer to avoid escalating the situation to that level.

Fazl-ur-Rehman criticized the government’s ties with the United States, especially condemning the nomination of former U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. “If Trump is there, there is no peace; if there is peace, then Trump should not be part of it,” he said, emphasizing Pakistan’s solidarity with Palestine and other Muslim nations suffering due to Western interference. He lamented the ongoing bloodshed in Libya, Egypt, Syria, and Jordan, asserting that Muslims cannot ignore such injustices.

Highlighting Pakistan’s unwavering support for Iran in its conflict with Israel, Fazl-ur-Rehman reaffirmed his commitment to protecting the two holy mosques (Haramain Sharifain) and uniting the Muslim Ummah. He warned that when the nation demands, they will declare jihad and sacrifice their lives for the defense of the country.

The JUI-F leader reiterated that his party rejected the legitimacy of the 2018 elections and outrightly condemned the “fraudulent” 2024 polls. “We did not allow the previous government to run, nor will we let this government continue,” he said, urging those in power to respect the will of the people.

Fazl-ur-Rehman emphasized that the country requires constitutional governance and promised that the JUI-F activists will remain active in the struggle for revolution and justice. “Victory is certain because the power of Allah is with us,” he declared confidently.

Addressing the current political scenario, Fazl-ur-Rehman warned the government not to pressure his party into taking control of Islamabad on a week’s notice. He stated that if pushed, they are prepared to take over the federal capital within seven days but prefer to avoid such a drastic step to maintain peace.

The conference also featured speeches by Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri and others, who criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government for unprecedented corruption.

Fazl-ur-Rehman’s remarks underscore rising political tensions ahead of upcoming elections, highlighting the possibility of large-scale protests and intensified opposition movements challenging the government’s legitimacy and authority.
