His most memorable season came during the league’s ninth edition, where he finished as the fourth-highest wicket-taker with 15 wickets in 11 matches. Boasting an impressive bowling average of 20.40 and an economy rate of 7.46, Willey was a pivotal figure in Multan’s campaign.
His all-round display in the final against Islamabad United stood out as a testament to his versatility. He contributed with both bat and ball, scoring six runs off three deliveries and taking a crucial wicket to aid his team’s efforts.
In his PSL career spanning 19 matches, Willey has taken 28 wickets and chipped in with 66 runs, underscoring his value as a dependable all-rounder.
David Willey is likely not the only Englishman to enter the 2025 PSL Draft. ECB and the player’s rights bodies have been actively negotiating a way for English players to participate in the PSL which has recently become a point of contention between the two.
Meanwhile, the PCB has also revealed the pick order for PSL 10 draft. Two-time champions Lahore Qalandars will have the first pick in the platinum category, followed by their fierce rivals, Karachi Kings.
