According to the Egyptian Presidential Office, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi held a telephone conversation with Jordan’s King Abdullah, during which both leaders agreed that the reconstruction of Gaza should proceed without the displacement of Palestinians.
The statement emphasized that both leaders firmly believe that any rebuilding efforts in Gaza must not come at the cost of forcing Palestinians from their homes.
Furthermore, the Egyptian Presidential Office noted that the two heads of state expressed their willingness to cooperate with former U.S. President Donald Trump to achieve peace in the Middle East.
It is important to highlight that Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia have already rejected Trump’s plan, which included the forced displacement of Palestinians.
Earlier, King Abdullah of Jordan met with Trump and reaffirmed his opposition to the relocation of Palestinians from Gaza, stressing the importance of a two-state solution as the foundation for lasting peace.
