Renowned Islamic scholar Dr Zakir Naik on Monday called on Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) President Nawaz Sharif at his residence in Jatiumra near Lahore.
During the meeting, Nawaz Sharif acknowledged and praised Dr Naik’s significant contributions for promotion of the religion. The discussion took place in a cordial atmosphere, where both leaders exchanged views on various religious and social matters.
Talking to Nawaz Sharif, Dr Naik emphasized that Holy Quran is the ultimate guidance for all of humanity and urged Muslims to avoid divisive issues, such as minor variations in religious practices, and instead focus on worshipping Allah Almighty.
Dr Naik highlighted his specialty in inviting non-Muslims to Islam, noting that his mission is to spread the message of Islam with a broad and inclusive approach.
He shared his experiences of learning from various Islamic scholars, stressing that true scholars guide people towards Allah, whereas some others focus on personal gains.
