Pakistani actor and model Dodhi Khan has retracted his marriage proposal to Indian actress Rakhi Sawant after facing intense trolling. However, he has now pledged to arrange her marriage with another Pakistani man.
A few days ago, Dodhi Khan shared a short video on Instagram in which he congratulated Rakhi Sawant on performing Umrah and expressed his love for her, even proposing marriage.
In a new video, which both he and Rakhi Sawant shared, the Pakistani actor revealed that he was harshly criticized online for his proposal. Addressing the backlash, he clarified that Rakhi is his best friend and will always remain so.
Dodhi Khan expressed sympathy for Rakhi, highlighting her struggles, including the loss of her parents and a failed marriage that left her heartbroken. He also praised her for embracing Islam, adopting the name Fatima, and recently completing Umrah.
According to Khan, his marriage proposal did not sit well with many people, leading to severe trolling. In response, he has now decided to step back but has vowed to find a suitable Pakistani groom for Rakhi Sawant.
“I promise to arrange her marriage with one of my friends or brothers,” he said, adding that he is determined to make her Pakistan’s daughter-in-law.
While Rakhi Sawant had previously accepted Dodhi Khan’s proposal, she has yet to respond to his change of heart. Notably, she has expressed interest in marrying a Pakistani man in the past.
