According to government sources, the discovery of gold reserves has been confirmed at three more locations in Punjab. After Attock, gold reserves have now also been confirmed in Mianwali, Tarbela, and Sutlej.
Following the confirmation of gold reserves at additional locations, NESPAK has been tasked with conducting a survey. The value of the gold at these three locations could amount to several hundred billion rupees.
Officials will soon brief the Chief Minister regarding the extraction of gold from these locations. Similar to Attock, an international auction will be held to extract gold from these new sites.
Previously, the Punjab government had confirmed the presence of gold reserves in Attock. Former provincial minister Ibrahim Hassan Murad had claimed the discovery of gold reserves in Attock, and now, Mineral Resources Minister Sher Ali Gorchani has confirmed these reserves.
Sher Gorchani stated that the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, will be briefed about the gold reserves tomorrow. To extract the gold, the Punjab government has decided to hold an international auction.
He further mentioned that recent surveys at the confluence of the Kabul and Indus rivers have confirmed the presence of gold. After a geological survey, NESPAK also verified the presence of gold.
