Dhaka’s Dramatic Transformation: From Chaos to Clean-up

In a stunning turn of events, Dhaka has witnessed a remarkable transformation over the past two days, shifting from chaos to clean-up. On Monday, thousands of people descended upon the Parliament House and Prime Minister’s residence, engaging in a looting frenzy that left the streets in disarray.

However, by Tuesday morning, a dramatic shift occurred. Student volunteers, mobilized in response to the looting, began a significant cleanup operation. These volunteers worked tirelessly to recover and return looted items, with reports indicating that they have managed to collect around 55 lakh rupees worth of items.

The combined efforts of student volunteers and the army reflect a determined push to restore the parliament building and Ganabhaban to their former states, highlighting the resilience and community spirit in the face of widespread disorder.
