Despite a rise in the stock exchange, the value of the dollar has increased in both the interbank and open markets against the Pakistani rupee. According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the value of the US dollar in the interbank market increased by one paisa, closing at 278.48 rupees, up from 278.47 rupees.
In the open market, the US dollar rose by 4 paisas to reach 279.54 rupees, while the euro increased by 27 paisas, closing at 291.50 rupees. The British pound saw an increase of 11 paisas, reaching 351.70 rupees.
Additionally, the UAE dirham became 5 paisas more expensive, reaching 76.10 rupees, while the Saudi riyal remained steady at 74.35 rupees.
