Punjab has borne the brunt of the floods, accounting for nearly 40% of the total fatalities. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa follows closely, with 74 deaths reported, while Sindh has lost 47 lives. Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan have also suffered significant losses, with 22, 6, and 4 deaths, respectively.

A total of 1,002 houses have been completely destroyed, while 3,475 houses have suffered partial damage. The public infrastructure has also been severely impacted, with 8 schools and 35 bridges damaged. The economic toll is further exacerbated by the loss of 609 cattle, leaving affected communities to pick up the pieces.

The NDMA is working tirelessly to assess the full extent of the damage and coordinate with provincial authorities to provide assistance to those affected by the floods. The government’s response to the disaster is crucial in providing relief and support to the affected communities.
