Daughter of a former Quetta commissioner injured a female attendant on a flight from Quetta to Islamabad after which the father-daughter duo was arrested at the airport.
The incident happened during PIA’s flight PK-540’s journey when the airhostess asked the commissioner’s daughter to fasten her seat belt and close the food tray as the plane was about to take off. This infuriated the commissioner’s daughter who used inappropriate language and caused a commotion.
Later she punched the airhostess on the face which led to bleeding from her nose. After the injury to the flight attendant, the ASF personnel took into custody both the former commissioner and his daughter.
The airhostess also alerted the captain who contacted the control tower and turned back the plane from runway.
The captain called in the ASF personnel and directed them to offload the father and his daughter who refused to get off the plane, after which they were arrested.
According to the airline administration, the incumbent Quetta commissioner rushed to the airport after learning about the incident and tried to persuade the ASF personnel to let go the matter. The father-daughter duo was allowed to go after they submitted a written apology.
According to sources, the father-daughter duo also misbehaved with the airport staff while checking in.
The flight later landed at the Islamabad International Airport late last night.
