Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) to inquire after soldiers and civilians injured during Operation Bunyān Mursūs, dubbed the Battle for Truth.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief met each injured individual personally, lauding their exceptional bravery and unwavering dedication to duty. He reiterated the Pakistan Army’s commitment to the complete care, rehabilitation, and welfare of its wounded personnel and affected civilians.
“The courage and sacrifice of our citizens and soldiers are the very foundation of Pakistan’s security,” General Munir stated. “The entire nation stands united in solidarity with every soldier of its armed forces.”
The Army Chief emphasized that no hostile conspiracy can shake the morale or resolve of the Pakistan Armed Forces. He underlined that the Pakistani response during Operation Bunyān Mursūs—characterized by unity, courage, and national support—will be remembered as a defining chapter in the country’s military history.
General Munir’s visit comes amid heightened national appreciation for the sacrifices made during the ongoing campaign, and signals the armed forces’ continued focus on the well-being of those who have borne the brunt of battle.
Earlier, the Army Chief had also remarked that even India’s 1.3 million-strong military, with all its armaments, could not intimidate Pakistan—a testament to the unwavering confidence of the armed forces.
