Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has condemned calls for civil disobedience, labeling them as acts of treason, and vowed to take strict action against those who conspired against the state by attempting to target Islamabad.
Cabinet Meeting Remarks
During a federal cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister highlighted the recent evacuation of Pakistanis from Syria, noting the coordinated efforts of the Foreign Ministry and embassies. He also mentioned a discussion with Lebanon’s Prime Minister to ensure the safe return of Pakistani citizens, with instructions issued to the Pakistani ambassador in Lebanon.
Focus on Stability and Economic Progress
Discussing national matters, PM Sharif stressed the importance of political stability for economic growth. He pointed out Azerbaijan’s $2 billion investment in Pakistan and highlighted that weekly inflation has dropped to 3.5%.

PM Sharif emphasized that inciting civil disobedience is an act of enmity toward the country, stating, “There is no greater treason than promoting civil disobedience.” He directed the government to bring conspirators to justice with concrete evidence while ensuring that no innocent person is wrongly implicated.
