Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa has made a significant contribution to the people of Balochistan by allocating 31,680 square feet of federal government land to the provincial government.

The land, located adjacent to the Quaid-e-Azam Residency in Ziarat, will be used to establish an Environmental Centre for public benefit.

In a letter sent to the Chief Secretary of Balochistan, the CJ expressed his desire to offer the land license to the provincial government at no cost. The letter, signed by both Qazi Azmat Isa and Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, outlined the terms and conditions of the license. Copies of the letter were also sent to the President of Pakistan, Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Government of Balochistan, and the Chief Minister of Balochistan.

The donation of the land for the Environmental Centre is a thoughtful gesture by the CJ, aimed at promoting environmental awareness and conservation in the region. The centre will provide a platform for education, research, and community engagement on environmental issues, benefiting the people of Balochistan and contributing to the country’s sustainable development.

The CJ’s initiative is particularly significant, given the importance of environmental protection in Balochistan, which is rich in natural resources but faces challenges in managing waste and pollution. The Environmental Centre will play a crucial role in addressing these issues and promoting a culture of sustainability in the province.

The allocation of land is also a testament to the CJ’s commitment to social responsibility and community service. By providing the land at no cost, the CJ has ensured that the resources saved can be utilized for the centre’s development and operations.

The presentation of the land to the public on August 14, 2024, Independence Day, if agreed upon by the federal government, will be a fitting tribute to the nation’s founding fathers and a celebration of Pakistan’s progress towards a sustainable future.
