The Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore has been unable to frame charges against the accused in five cases related to the May 9 violence. The court has directed the accused to ensure their full attendance at the next hearing.

During the proceedings, presided over by Judge Arshad Javed, PTI leaders Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Mian Mahmood ur Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhry, and others appeared before the court. However, the accused who were released on bail failed to appear in court, leading to a delay in the indictment.

The cases involve allegations such as the burning of the PML-N office and other incidents related to the violent protests. The court adjourned hearings in two cases, including the PML-N office burning, until January 15, while the hearings for three other cases, including the incidents at Sherpao Bridge, were postponed until January 16.

The police stations of Gulberg and Model Town have registered the cases against the accused.
