The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the match officials for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025, set to be hosted in Pakistan.
According to the ICC’s official statement, 12 elite umpires will officiate matches in the tournament, which will be held across Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Dubai.
Notably, Richard Kettleborough, who officiated the 2017 Champions Trophy final, makes his return. Other umpires from the 2017 edition, including Chris Gaffaney, Kumar Dharmasena, Richard Illingworth, Paul Reiffel, and Rod Tucker, have also been named in the panel.
The list further includes Michael Gough, Adrian Holdstock, Ahsan Raza, Sharfuddoula Ibn Shahid, Alex Wharf, and Joel Wilson. Both Kettleborough and Illingworth, who officiated the 2023 Men’s Cricket World Cup final in Ahmedabad, are also part of the lineup.
In the match referees’ panel, David Boon, Ranjan Madugalle, and Andrew Pycroft will oversee the tournament’s disciplinary matters.
The Champions Trophy 2025 will feature eight teams competing for the prestigious title, with cricket fans eagerly awaiting the tournament’s return.
