Long Queues Form Outside Courier Company Outlets Across Pakistan

The battle for tickets to the ICC Champions Trophy has turned into a frenzy for cricket fans across the country.

According to a statement from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the sale of physical tickets for matches in Pakistan began on February 3. The designated courier company, TCS, set up ticket counters at 108 outlets across 26 cities, but the overwhelming demand made securing tickets a daunting challenge.

The sale of physical tickets started at 4 PM Pakistan time and continued until 6 PM. While some fans successfully secured their tickets, many were left disappointed. A maximum of four tickets were issued per national ID card.

Meanwhile, online tickets booked today will be available for collection starting February 6, with home deliveries scheduled for February 8.

Fans can purchase tickets for 10 matches, including the second semi-final in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, both online and at over 100 TCS outlets.

Ticket prices for general stands start at PKR 1,000, while premium seating is available in different categories starting at PKR 1,500.

The tournament, hosted by Pakistan, will take place across four venues: Karachi, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Dubai. The Champions Trophy will kick off on February 19 in Karachi, with Pakistan facing New Zealand in the opening match.
