England’s Joe Root smashed a century off 98 balls against Afghanistan, marking the 11th century of the tournament—surpassing the previous record of 10 centuries, set in the 2002 and 2017 editions.
So far, eight matches have been played in the 2025 Champions Trophy, with centuries registered by Will Young, Tom Latham, Towhid Hridoy, Shubman Gill, Ryan Rickelton, Ben Duckett, Josh Inglis, Virat Kohli, Rachin Ravindra, Ibrahim Zadran, and Joe Root.
