Cellular Services Suspended in Karachi and Other Sindh Cities for Chehlum

The Sindh government has announced the suspension of cellular services in major cities, including Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana, Sukkur, and Khairpur, on Monday for the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). This move is part of security measures to maintain law and order in the province.

Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar stated that security forces will remain on high alert, and mourning processions will be monitored from the air. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) also confirmed the suspension of voice and data services in the specified cities.

Additionally, a public holiday has been declared for all public and private schools in Sindh, and a ban on pillion riding has been imposed across the province to ensure security.

In Rawalpindi, a public holiday has also been announced, and a security plan has been put in place for seven Chehlum processions, with over 4,400 security personnel deployed.
