Karachi( The COW News Digital)The body of Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar Ali, aged 32, was discovered in an advanced state of decomposition inside her apartment in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area. The discovery was made after a court-appointed team arrived to evict her from the property following a legal dispute over unpaid rent.
According to Gizri Police Station, Humaira had been living alone in the rented flat since 2018 but had stopped paying rent in 2024. The flat owner filed a legal case, and the court had ordered eviction. When the bailiff and eviction team arrived, they received no response after repeated knocks. Upon breaking the lock and entering, they found the deceased body of the actress lying inside.
Police confirmed that the body was approximately two weeks old, though the cause of death remains unknown at this stage. The Crime Scene Unit has collected forensic evidence from the apartment, and a full investigation is underway.
The body was transferred to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities. Police Surgeon Dr. Samia Syed verified that the corpse was in an advanced stage of decomposition, yet oddly, no significant odor was reported by neighbors or even by the team that entered the apartment.
Humaira Asghar Ali was known for her small television roles, modeling assignments, and appearances on morning shows as a fitness trainer. She had also participated in a reality show and was considered a promising personality in the lifestyle and entertainment circles.
Neighbors described her as quiet and mostly reclusive in recent years. Police stated that no family members have yet come forward, and authorities are working to trace her next of kin.
The mysterious nature of her death and the long delay in its discovery has raised questions about urban isolation, mental health, and celebrity neglect in Pakistan’s entertainment industry. Social media users have expressed shock and sadness, urging authorities to conduct a transparent investigation.
