The semi-final lineup for the 4th T20 Blind Cricket World Cup is now complete. In the first semi-final today, host Pakistan will take on Nepal, while the second semi-final will see Bangladesh go head-to-head with Sri Lanka.
Pakistan’s Dominant Performance in Group Stage
In the final group stage match, Pakistan’s Green Shirts secured their fifth consecutive victory by defeating Afghanistan by 7 wickets. Meanwhile, Bangladesh outclassed South Africa with a 10-wicket win.
At the Multan Cricket Stadium, Pakistan won the toss and invited Afghanistan to bat first. Afghanistan was bowled out for 94 runs in 19.2 overs, with Ajmal Amarkhel scoring 15 runs. Fakhar Abbas delivered an impressive bowling performance, taking 3 wickets for just 4 runs in 2.2 overs.
Pakistan chased down the target in 9.5 overs, losing 3 wickets in the process. Talha Iqbal scored 32 runs, while Muhammad Salman contributed 16. Fakhar Abbas was named the Player of the Match, and Farmanullah Qazi was recognized as the Emerging Player of the Match.
Bangladesh’s Commanding Win Over South Africa
At DHA Ground in Multan, South Africa won the toss and opted to bat against Bangladesh, scoring 149 runs for 8 wickets in the allotted overs. Lesedi Lesufi scored 33 runs off 39 balls, while Bhole added 23 runs.
Bangladesh comfortably chased the target in 12.5 overs without losing any wickets. Muhammad Salman showcased brilliant batting, scoring 73 runs off 44 balls, while Arif Hussain played a solid inning of 55 runs from 39 balls.
