Karachi: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari assured the business community in Karachi that their concerns would be addressed directly by him, urging them not to take their complaints elsewhere.

Speaking at a luncheon hosted by the Sindh government in honor of traders, Bilawal emphasized the PPP’s commitment to resolving issues faced by the business sector. “If you have any complaints against a minister or the chief minister, come to me directly. Don’t take your grievances to anyone else,” he said.

Bilawal highlighted the importance of staying connected with all sectors of the economy, stating, “No sector in this country is out of my reach. My purpose is to listen to your problems and find solutions. We will enhance our engagement with the business community.”

Acknowledging existing challenges, he said, “We are not perfect, but we are not that bad either. We know the problems you are facing, and it is our responsibility to solve them. We accept this responsibility.”

The PPP chairman reassured the traders, saying, “I would never want anyone to misuse my or the government’s name to trouble you. I represent this province and country in elections, and my representatives win here. My priority is to provide jobs to my people, but I cannot achieve that solely through the government.”

Bilawal also expressed pride in Sindh being the only province successfully running public-private partnership projects and vowed to accelerate such initiatives further.

The luncheon comes days after trader leader Atiq Mir made headlines with his controversial request to federal minister Ahsan Iqbal, asking for Maryam Nawaz to manage the traders’ affairs temporarily. Mir later clarified his statement, calling it a joke.

Bilawal’s comments reflect his intention to maintain a direct line of communication with the business community, addressing their grievances and fostering economic cooperation.
