Karachi/Islamabad/Lahore : Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid tribute to the martyrs of the Army Public School (APS) Peshawar tragedy, reaffirming the nation’s resolve to remain steadfast in the fight against terrorism and ensure a safe future for generations to come.
In a statement issued by the Media Cell of Bilawal House, the PPP Chairman expressed profound grief over the loss of innocent lives in the barbaric attack of December 16, 2014. He described the APS tragedy as one of the darkest chapters in Pakistan’s history, an event that shook the nation’s conscience and united it against the scourge of terrorism.
Bilawal lauded the courage and resilience of the families of the martyred students and staff members. He called on federal and provincial governments to ensure the effective implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) to prevent such incidents in the future.
The PPP Chairman emphasized addressing the root causes of extremism through education, economic opportunities, and social cohesion. He reiterated his party’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism and promoting tolerance, education, and peace across the country.
On the somber anniversary of the APS attack, Bilawal urged the nation to honor the martyrs by renewing their resolve to build a terrorism-free Pakistan, where every child can dream without fear and realize their potential to the fullest.
