Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has stated that if a response is received to the PTI founder’s letter, it will be welcomed.
Speaking to the media, Barrister Gohar said that the PTI founder had informed him about writing a letter to the Army Chief, but he had not yet seen or read it himself. He added that the PTI founder personally read out the letter’s contents, emphasizing the sacrifices made by the military.
When asked whether PTI was in contact with the military leadership, Barrister Gohar clarified that there had been only one meeting, which was related to law and order, and no further discussions had taken place.
It is worth noting that former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan had sent a letter to Army Chief General Asim Munir, which, according to his lawyer Faisal Chaudhry, contained six key points. The letter, written in Khan’s capacity as a former premier and party leader, urged the Army Chief to reconsider certain policies and called for the formation of a judicial commission.
