Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has categorically stated that the call for civil disobedience, initiated by PTI founder Imran Khan, remains intact and has not been withdrawn.
Speaking to the media outside Parliament House, Barrister Gohar emphasized that the PTI parliamentary committee and the public will fully support any directive from the party’s founder. “The call for civil disobedience was given by Imran Khan, and there is no question of taking it back,” he asserted.
Earlier, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif commented on the possibility of negotiations with PTI, stating that the government had yet to receive any formal communication from the party.
“If PTI seeks dialogue, they must adopt a softer tone and a more conciliatory approach,” Khawaja Asif remarked. He warned that without this, “talks could turn into mere theatrics.”
The defense minister also reiterated his belief that within PTI, no leader holds significance apart from Imran Khan. “It is Imran Khan himself who should lead any negotiations with the government,” he added.
The civil disobedience call has sparked debate across political circles, with its potential impact and public response closely watched as tensions between the government and PTI continue to escalate.Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has categorically stated that the call for civil disobedience, initiated by PTI founder Imran Khan, remains intact and has not been withdrawn.
