BANGLADESH;( The COW News Digital)- For nearly two decades, the streets of Mumbai and Bhopal knew a person named “Neha,” who lived as a transgender woman. But Indian police have now revealed that “Neha” was actually a Bangladeshi national named Abdul Kalam.
According to the TCND, he was arrested following a covert operation by law enforcement.
The story began when Abdul Kalam illegally entered India from Bangladesh at the age of just 10. After spending several years in Mumbai, he eventually moved to Bhopal.
There, he adopted a new identity as a transgender woman named “Neha” and integrated himself into the local transgender community.
Remarkably, Abdul Kalam managed to acquire critical legal documents identifying him as an Indian citizen. These included a ration card, voter ID card, and even a passport.
According to authorities, he used these documents to travel back and forth to Bangladesh multiple times without raising any suspicion.
Now, he faces serious charges, including illegal entry, forgery, and compromising national security. Police have registered a formal case and begun a thorough investigation.
This shocking revelation has raised serious questions about India’s security and identity verification systems—how could someone live freely for 20 years under a false identity?
