Muzaffarabad (News Desk): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Assembly has unanimously passed a resolution condemning U.S. sanctions on Pakistan. The resolution, presented by former Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan, criticizes the U.S. government’s attempts to disturb the regional power balance in favor of India.
The resolution states that Pakistan’s missile program is purely for defensive purposes and aims to counter India’s aggressive intentions. Raja Farooq Haider emphasized that U.S. actions are influenced by the Indian lobby, which fails to understand Pakistan’s defensive strategy. He also affirmed that the Kashmiri people would stand with Pakistan against any Indian aggression.
Raja Farooq Haider further claimed that the U.S. is attempting to turn India into the “police station” of the region, with Pakistan being the only obstacle. He also noted that foreign elements are involved in the destabilization of Pakistan.
Current AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq reiterated unwavering support for the Pakistani military, stressing the crucial role of missile technology and nuclear programs in ensuring national security. He pointed out that countries without a strong defense system, such as Libya, Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza, have faced devastating consequences.
Prime Minister Haq stated that national security is non-negotiable, and no political leadership can deny the importance of missile technology and nuclear strength. Kashmiri leaders also emphasized that Pakistan must defend its life, property, honor, and dignity.
The approval of the resolution reflects the unified stance of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Assembly against foreign interference and aggression. It also underscores the significance of Pakistan’s defense capabilities, particularly its missile program, in maintaining regional stability and security.
