Karachi: Pakistani actress Ayesha Afridi has strongly denied rumors about any familial connection with former national cricket team captain Shahid Afridi.

During a recent appearance on a local television show, host Ayaz Samo asked Ayesha whether she was related to Shahid Afridi. In response, Ayesha promptly clarified, “I have no relation to Shahid Afridi. People keep asking this question, but I always say that I am Ayesha Afridi, and I have no connection with him.”

The actress also emphasized her roots in a Pashtun family, explaining the challenges she faced in entering the entertainment industry. She stated, “There was no tradition of showbiz in our family, and I had to convince my family a lot to step into this field.”

Ayesha further shared that despite her popularity as an actress, her family doesn’t give her much importance, reflecting the traditional values of a Pashtun household.
