Kurram: Investigative authorities have prepared an initial report regarding the attack on Deputy Commissioner Javed Masood’s convoy, which occurred earlier today.
According to the report, a convoy carrying essential medicines and food supplies departed for Kurram under a peace agreement. The unfortunate incident took place at approximately 10:35 AM, shortly after the convoy’s departure.
Before the convoy set out, a negotiation team was engaged in discussions to reopen the blocked road when armed assailants opened fire on the Deputy Commissioner’s vehicle and other government vehicles. The attack resulted in injuries to Deputy Commissioner Javed Masood, a police officer, and an FC personnel.
Police and investigative agencies collaborated to compile the preliminary findings, which have been shared with the provincial government.
The report emphasized that strict action would be taken against those responsible for the attack on the Deputy Commissioner’s convoy to ensure accountability and uphold law and order in the region.
