Islamabad: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has launched a comprehensive relief and rehabilitation campaign for Gaza’s victims, pledging Rs. 15 billion over the next 15 months. The initiative, titled “Rebuild Gaza,” aims to provide extensive aid and reconstruction support in the region.
In a key press briefing, Alkhidmat Foundation’s President Dr. Hafeez-ur-Rehman, General Secretary Syed Waqas Jafari, and other officials detailed the foundation’s ongoing efforts and plans for the future. Dr. Hafeez-ur-Rehman emphasized that, following Rs. 5.5 billion worth of aid distributed over the past 15 months, the foundation has now committed Rs. 15 billion for continued relief and rebuilding efforts in Gaza. This includes the provision of temporary shelters, essential goods, food, medical supplies, ambulances, mobile health units, and educational facilities.
Dr. Rehman further outlined the foundation’s plans to rehabilitate one hospital, rebuild or repair five schools, and restore 25 mosques in Gaza.
Addressing the dire situation in Gaza, Dr. Rehman stated that the ongoing Israeli attacks have resulted in the loss of thousands of lives and the destruction of vital infrastructure, leaving millions of people stranded without shelter. He affirmed that Alkhidmat, in partnership with various local and international organizations, remains committed to providing continuous support to the people of Gaza in their time of need.
