Islamabad: Alima Khan, the sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, has urged the government to meet its own demand for written submissions of PTI’s requests, stressing that only two main demands were being put forward by the party.

Speaking to the media after a meeting with her brother Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, Alima Khan highlighted that progress had been made in the two rounds of talks between the government and PTI’s negotiation committees. “The entire nation is watching this progress,” she said.

Alima Khan, along with her sister Uzma Khan and their cousin Qasim Zaman, visited Imran Khan in prison, where the meeting lasted for about an hour. The discussion covered various matters, including the ongoing legal cases against the former prime minister and his health.

Following the meeting, Alima Khan expressed her concerns regarding the government’s lack of seriousness in the negotiations. “If the government were serious about talks, they would have arranged a meeting with the founder of PTI,” she stated. She further emphasized that despite some progress in the negotiations, the government had yet to show genuine intent.

In response to the government’s request for PTI to present its demands in writing, Alima Khan said, “If the government wants us to submit our demands in writing, we will do so. Our demands are not extensive. We have only two main requests: the formation of a judicial commission and the release of all PTI workers detained in jails.”
