According to Indian media, in a video circulating on social media, Ahmed Shehzad suggested building a cricket stadium on the border to host cricket matches between the two countries.
In a sarcastic tone, Shehzad proposed that the stadium should have one entrance in India and the other in Pakistan, with players entering from their respective doors. However, he added that even with this arrangement, the Indian Cricket Board and government would still face issues, particularly in granting visas to players.
Shehzad further stated that after the confirmation of the hybrid model for the Champions Trophy, the chances of India visiting Pakistan in the near future have been ruled out. He emphasized that the idea of the Indian cricket team coming to Pakistan should now be forgotten. He also mentioned that, under the agreements with all cricket boards, the ICC could not backtrack on its decision to award Pakistan the hosting rights for the Champions Trophy.
