In a statement, Barrister Saif stated that in light of the Apex Committee’s decision, Kurram District will be cleared of weapons, and the demolition of bunkers will be ensured to establish lasting peace. He acknowledged the public issues caused by the closure of roads in Kurram.
He emphasized that after the peace agreement, normal life will be restored, and once the bunkers are demolished and weapons collected, all roads will be fully opened.
Barrister Saif further said that the government seeks lasting peace in Kurram, but some elements are against long-term peace in the region. He criticized certain individuals for spreading baseless propaganda on social media regarding Kurram and misrepresenting the sincere efforts of the provincial government.
