Karachi( The COW News Digital) In a major development in the mysterious death case of Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar, who was found dead in her apartment in Defence Phase 6, police investigators have recovered critical digital data from her electronic devices.
According to SSP South Mehzor Ali, a special six-member investigation team has been formed under the supervision of SP Clifton Imran Ali Jagrani to determine whether the actress’s death was natural, accidental, suicide, or murder.
Sources close to the investigation revealed that Humaira Asghar’s personal diary contained passwords that granted authorities access to three mobile phones, one tablet, and a laptop. The retrieved data includes chats, messages, and various digital records, which police believe could hold vital clues about the circumstances leading to her death.
Police have already recorded the statements of two individuals, and further questioning of residents, staff, and acquaintances is underway. The watchman and housekeeping staff from the residential complex have been summoned for questioning, along with others who had regular contact with the actress.
Investigators noted that Humaira was a regular visitor to a local gym and beauty salon, prompting them to extend their probe to include her trainer and other staff for possible leads.
Additionally, police have discovered that Humaira maintained frequent contact with several individuals, whose identities are currently being verified. Authorities are also reviewing her bank transactions to identify any suspicious financial activities or monetary disputes that could be relevant to the case.
While the digital evidence is still being analyzed, the police have intensified their efforts to piece together a timeline and motive, if foul play is confirmed.
Interestingly, the actress’s family has yet to file a formal police complaint or request legal proceedings, adding another layer of complexity to the case.
The investigation remains ongoing, and officials have urged the public to refrain from speculation until verified information is released.
