Karachi: Renowned actress and model Aamna Elias recently opened up about the impact of her father’s absence in a heartfelt interview.

Aamna shared that her father passed away 20 years ago, and since then, her mother bravely took on the responsibility of raising the children.

In an emotional moment, she said, “My mother was only in her early 30s when she took on the immense responsibility of raising us. As I grew older, I realized just how important a father figure is for children.”

Aamna revealed that she felt her father’s absence particularly during her teenage years. “There were four sisters, one brother, and our mother, but there was no male figure in the house. Whenever we faced a tough time or were troubled by something, it was hard to figure out who to talk to. That absence is still felt,” she shared.

She recalled a poignant memory from her childhood when her father passed away. “When my father died, someone had taken pictures of his funeral. I was only about five or six years old at the time, and in those pictures, I was smiling because I didn’t understand what was happening.”

Aamna praised her mother for her strength, saying, “Our mother made sure we never felt a lack of anything. Even after my father passed, we received as much, if not more, than we had when he was with us, but some things can never be replaced.”

Concluding her heartfelt reflection, Aamna said, “If my father were alive today, life would be so different. I miss him dearly and always will.”
