MUMBAI (The COW News Digital) -Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s upcoming film, “Sitaare Zameen Par,” is already drawing attention due to its unique storyline, but now it carries a heartwarming surprise too.
According to Indian media, Aamir Khan’s 91-year-old mother, Zeenat Khan, will be making her on-screen debut in the film.
In an interview, Aamir revealed that his mother will appear in a wedding song in the movie, marking the first time she has ever appeared on screen.
Aamir shared a touching story of how his mother expressed a sudden desire to visit the film set: “Usually, Ammi never says she wants to come to the shoot, but one morning, she called and asked, ‘Where are you shooting today? I want to come.’”
He arranged for a car, and his sister brought their wheelchair-bound mother to the set, where a joyful wedding song was being filmed. Director RS Prasanna saw an opportunity to make the moment special.
He approached Aamir and requested, “Sir, if you don’t mind, could you ask your mother to be a part of this wedding song? It’s the final song of the film, and I’d love to include her as a guest appearance.”
Aamir hesitated at first, saying he didn’t have the courage to ask his mother, describing her as strong-willed. But to his surprise, when he finally asked, she simply said, “Okay, fine,” and joined the scene.
This marks the only film appearance of Zeenat Khan. Aamir’s sister, Nikhat Khan, is also playing a role in Sitaare Zameen Par.
