A key meeting of political leaders at the Chief Minister’s House to discuss the alliance among opposition parties

Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to form an anti-government alliance at the national level. After contacting the Grand Democratic Alliance, the party has decided to reach out to other political parties.

The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stated that democracy in the country is under threat, and there is a need to unite and struggle for real democracy.

According to Express News, efforts to form an alliance among opposition parties have been intensified. Late at night, a delegation of leaders from the Grand Democratic Alliance met with Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur at the Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar.

The meeting focused on matters related to forming an alliance among opposition parties.

The Grand Democratic Alliance delegation included former Senator Safdar Abbasi, former Senator Muhammad Ali Durrani, and others, and they were welcomed by the Information Advisor.

According to the Chief Minister’s House spokesperson, the meeting discussed the current political situation in the country and matters related to the opposition alliance.

After the meeting, the Chief Minister issued a statement saying that democracy in the country is under threat, and that their mandate has been stolen. He emphasized the need to work together to restore true democracy.

He further stated that a government elected by the people holds both national and international significance, and the government that comes to power through public votes cares for the people. On the other hand, governments that come to power through stolen mandates show no concern for the people. He criticized the current government for coming to power through a stolen mandate, indicating its indifference to the public.

The Chief Minister also mentioned that they are in contact with other political parties and will jointly struggle for true democracy.

Former federal minister Muhammad Ali Durrani stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is a “Form 45 government,” emphasizing that in places where there is no government formed by the people, there is a sense of suffocation. However, in this province, the government is by the people and for the people.

He expressed disappointment that those leaving Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are obstructed, but assured that they would tour the entire country and create a democratic atmosphere.
