According to official sources, the convoy departed at 1 PM on Wednesday. The vehicles in the convoy carried flour, sugar, fruits, vegetables, and medicines.
The district administration stated that the convoy reached Parachinar and other areas of Upper Kurram by the evening.
Officials confirmed that the convoy was secured by police and the district administration, with additional support from security forces, who remained on standby to respond to any untoward incidents.
Official sources revealed that during an operation conducted by the district administration, police, and security forces in the Bagan area of Kurram from January 19 to 21, a significant quantity of illegal weapons was recovered.
They further stated that, as per a signed agreement between the parties involved, strict and impartial action will be taken against any miscreants.
Meanwhile, in a meeting chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Wednesday, it was decided to convene a jirga of the signatories of the Kurram Peace Agreement. The meeting also resolved to activate committees established at the village level in the Kurram region.
