A ban has been imposed on temporarily installed mechanical swings in Punjab during Eid ul-Fitr.

According to the spokesperson of the Punjab Home Department, the decision to ban temporary mechanical swings was made to protect human lives.

A letter has been issued to Deputy Commissioners, specifying that the ban will apply across the entire province of Punjab.

A large influx of people, including children, is expected at recreational parks during Eid. Citizens will visit these locations to enjoy playgrounds, gaming zones, and mechanical swings.

Permanent mechanical swings installed at recreational parks, theme parks, and play areas will be allowed conditionally. It is mandatory to obtain a fitness certificate for permanently installed swings. A safety inspection of permanent swings and confirmation of compliance with all regulatory standards must be verified by the relevant Deputy Commissioner.

The Punjab Home Department has also set up a central control room to collect reports from across the province 24/7. The maintenance of law and order and ensuring the implementation of government orders will be overseen, with senior officials continuing work during the Eid holidays.
