Islamabad(News Desk)Negotiations between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have reached an impasse, according to sources. The talks have stalled due to PTI’s failure to submit their demands in writing, which has led to a deadlock in the process.

Sources reveal that Speaker of the National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq, has been hesitant to call a meeting of the negotiating committees. As of now, it remains unclear when the third round of talks will take place.

PTI leader Asad Qaiser commented that the points discussed during the meetings should be regarded as written demands, stressing that the party does not want to derail the negotiation process. He also urged the government’s negotiating committee to involve the key decision-makers and stakeholders in the discussions.

On the other hand, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, a member of the government’s committee, expressed concerns that if PTI’s demands are not presented in writing, the negotiations could face further difficulties. He pointed out that PTI had committed to submitting written demands during both previous meetings.

Sources further indicated that after a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan, the party will decide on a written charter of demands. If these demands are accepted, PTI will also require a formal written agreement with the government.
