Peshawar(News Desk) Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), has expressed concerns about the state of democracy and parliamentary politics in Pakistan, stating that there are thousands of questions being raised about the country’s democratic system.
Addressing a gathering in Peshawar, Maulana Fazl emphasized that JUI-F is a ideological movement, committed to upholding the principles of its forebears. He noted, “While we must adapt to the changing circumstances, we have never compromised on the beliefs and ideology of our ancestors.”
Maulana Fazl further reaffirmed the party’s long-standing goal of transforming Pakistan into an Islamic state, a vision rooted in the parliamentary contributions of its founding leaders. He pointed out that the ongoing political developments have led to growing doubts regarding the current state of democracy and parliamentary politics in the country.
In a separate statement, Maulana Fazl also stressed that there should be no discrimination in the enforcement of capital punishment, calling for equal application of the law for all.
